De La Salle’s Young Swimmers Shine at the Al-Mahra Finswimming Championship

Our young swimmers delivered outstanding performances across the championship races.

Several young swimmers from De La Salle Club participated individually, under their own names, in the Al-Mahra Finswimming Championship, held on Friday, 21 August 2026. The championship was organized by the Beit Sahour YMCA, with the attendance and supervision of the Palestinian Swimming and Aquatic Sports Federation.

The young swimmers delivered outstanding performances and showed clear improvement in their technique and speed, achieving excellent results across the various races.

  • Michael Thaljieh — 3 gold medals
  • Lourd Zaarir — 3 gold medals
  • Taim Shamieh — 3 gold medals
  • Nasri Qanawati — 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal
  • Maya Salameh — 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal
  • Gabriel Daibes — 1 gold medal and 2 silver medals
  • Ali Abu Ayyash — 1 bronze medal

We are proud of their passion, their progress, and the effort they demonstrate in every training session and every race.
